Why solar energy?

According to the International Energy Agency (the IEA), fossil fuels provide 66% of the world’s energy consumption, with the largest part is coming from coal (40.8%). The share of renewable energy accounts for just 2.8%, whereas only 0.6% of that is covered by solar modules. Developments in solar technologies have steadily increased the demand for using solar energy in the industry. Below are the advantages of solar energy:

•          Lack of dependence on external supplies

•          Cost of production and installation

•          Lack of transportation and transmission problems

•          Inexhaustible and ecologically clean

•          Special way of storage of solar power when not used

•          Governments and organizations using solar energy have a minimum impact on the environment

•          Excess solar energy can be easily soled

In addition, it would be useful to mention that besides its positive impact on the environment, solar energy is a reliable source ensuring sustainable development.
